The AMX was the two-seater version of the Javelin and quite obviously from the same designer, Dick Teague. The car was only available with 6 or 6.4 litre V-8 engines which produced 294 bhp at 4,800 rpm or 330 bhp (SAE) at 5,000 rpm. The car was dangerously fast at 144 mph (230 kph).
