Spurred on by his success with Aurelia GT, Pininfarina designed an open version which was sold in the showrooms as the Aurelia B24 Spider. The motor sport version was the America which can be recognised by its panoramic windscreen.
This car was designed for sunny climates and racing and hence the side windows had to be clamped in place as with older MGs.
