Maserati added a new two-plus-two model to its range in 1969, the Indy. The Indy used a proper unitary bodyshell styled by Vignale and a more practical two plus two interior. As with all Maserati models the Indy had very adventurous styling, although the two-plus-two shape looked less pleasing than some of the more sporty two seat models.
The Indy came with various V8 engines which ranged from 4136cc to 4930cc and included the Ghibli unit. Despite the extra weight of its large body the Indy could easily top 155mph which is still respectable even by today's standards.
