Renault Dauphine

Overview

Produced: 1956-1965
Types: Saloon, 4 doors, 4 seats

Perhaps one of the most popular cars to emerge from Renault during the 50's/60's must be the 1956 - 1965 Dauphine. The Dauphine effectively replaced the outgoing and highly successful 4CV series.

Like the 4CV, the Dauphine offered affordable, roomy accommodation for a small family coupled with excellent performance and frugal fuel consumption. Towards the end of production the Dauphine gained variable-rate suspension and all-round disc brakes.
