One of the finest all-round Ferraris was the 250 GT SWB.  This Berlinetta was built on a shorter wheelbase chassis than the Tour de France.  The car was designed by Pininfarina and made by Scaglietti, partially in steel.  Of the 175 that were made, 82 were solely intended as racing cars.
