Hillman introduced a second generation of Minx based estates in 1956, once again these practical vehicles were known as the Hillman Husky. The Husky now had a slightly longer wheelbase, a larger (1390cc) overhead valve four cylinder engine and revised styling changes to the body. Once again the Husky featured two passenger door as well as the opening rear hatch.
A facelifted Series II Husky appeared in 1957 (alongside a new Minx range) quickly followed in 1958 by yet another restyled version, the Series III. Production of the Minx based Husky continued for one more year (finishing in 1959).
