Hillman Minx Series V

Overview
Produced: 1963-1965
Types: Saloon,4 doors,4 seats

The last variants of the (1956 model) Hillman Minx arrived in 1963 and 1965. The '63 Series V had revised styling, front brake discs and the 1592cc engine carried over from the Series IIIC. Sadly the estate and convertible bodies were no longer available to Minx buyers, although they were available in the Super Minx range introduced in 1961.

One useful change was the introduction of an optional automatic gearbox, this Borg Warner item replaced the temperamental, semi-automatic "Easidrive" unit offered as an option on earlier Minx models.
