The car was primarily destined for Formula Junior. Monteverdi called his creation MBM (Monteverdi Basel Montors) and the car performed well. The MBM Sport was built using mechanical parts from Osca. The 1,092 cc engine developed 100 bhp at 7,500 rpm.
