Morgan 4/4

Still in production today, albeit in much modified form, the Morgan 4/4 first appeared in 1936. The new model first used a tuned Standard 10 engine ( which replaced the original Coventry Climax unit ) which gave the car a sporty feel. The 4/4 featured old fashioned mechanical brakes, although road wheels were of a more contemporary style.

The 4/4 used a two seater open body, complete with an "up-right" front grille and exposed headlamps. The construction and overall style of the Morgan 4/4 remained unchanged throughout its production life ( which ended in this form in 1950 ).
