Morgan updated its 4/4 once again in 1961, the car now being sold as the 4/4 Series IV. Once again Morgan raided the Ford parts bin and choose to power the new 4/4 with the Ford Classic 315 ohv unit which measured 1340cc.
The new 4/4 found new levels of performance and also incorporated front disc brakes for extra stopping power. Production of the 4/4 Series IV lasted until 1963 when the Series V arrived.
