A "new" Morgan 4/4 appeared in 1968, now known as the 4/4 1600. The 4/4 1600 has used various engines throughout its illustrious career ( which is still continuing! ). Until 1982 the Ford "Crossflow" engine could be found in most 4/4 1600's, later (1981-) cars used the Ford CVH engine and a FIAT twin-cam was used from 1992.
The 4/4 1600 continued to use the traditional Morgan Aluminium over Ash frame construction for its body shell and the endless waiting list for new cars has now become part of the Morgan legend!
