The Simca name was the only link with the cars from the French factory. The Abarth Simca is based on the Simca 1000. It is more suited to a race track than the road. The streamlined body was built of aluminium. The motor had twin overhead camshafts and two double Weber carburettors. It weighed 665 kg (1,466 lb).
