For many years Fiat has been synonymous with providing a mixture of economical family cars with the occasional innovative model to inspire other manufacturers. Recently Fiat unveiled its controversial, "escaped from a Motorshow stand" people carrier, the Multipla. However this model name actually first appeared back in 1956 looking even more unbelievable than the current version!
Based on the tiny 600 range the Fiat 600 Multipla incredibly offered seating for six people within its overall length of just 139 inches! Early versions used a 633cc engine with later models coming with a 767cc unit. As well as the usual six seat model a 4/5 seater and a Taxi version were also offered before production ended in 1966.
