MG TD

Purchased three years ago, the car is in original condition and has only had 4 owners from new. The last female owner had the car for close on 38 years but only covered some 7 000 miles in her.

The second owner of the TD that was registered in the UK as MXT 269 purchased the car at 19 000 and kept an immaculate log book of every journey, every service, which brand of petrol used and how much the petrol cost. The log book finishes at 98 000 miles, but unfortunately the cover is missing so I cannot trace this owner.

The third owner purchased the car and in 1964 came out to South Africa with the car. Subsequent marriage and offspring resulted in his selling the car to the lady owner before me. Before she sold it, the engine, gearbox, back axle, clutch and brakes were overhauled.

Since I have owned it I have had new weather equipment made to pattern and like the second owner, I keep a thorough detailed log book of all work and all journeys taken in her.
