Arguably the most technologically advanced cars of the 1960's made its debut in 1967, the NSU Ro80. Largely unknown outside of Germany NSU took the world by storm with its ground breaking Rotary engined Ro80, featuring a rotary, "Wankel" engine and styling so far advanced that it still looks brand new even today!
Other Ro80 features included four wheel disc brakes, power steering, semi-automatic transmission and a top-speed of 110mph. Sadly the Ro80 was misunderstood by owners and many service dealers and quickly gained an unfair reputation for unreliability. Many cars were later converted to run with more conventional V4 or V6 engines.
