When Simca took over Ford's French factory, the Vedette became a Simca car.  The V-8 engine of the Vedette was a pre-war side-valve unit of 2,351 cc that had output of 80 bhp at 4,400 rpm. 

The Vedette had bench seats in the front and back seating three comfortably in the back and two or three in the front.
