Glas Isar 600/700
1958-1965, 87585 produced.
In 1959, Glas introduced his "big" Goggomobils under the names of Glas-Isar 600 and 700. The Isar had an entirely new opposed twin-cylinder engine of 584 or 688 cc to give 20 or 30 bhp at 4,900 rpm. The engines were powerful enough for speeds in excess of 62 mph (100 kph). It seems as though Glas was still not content with his Glas-Isars and wanted to scale greater heights.
