1948-1955, 26254 produced.
The F8 was produced in East Germany as a saloon, convertible, estate and van. A 684 cc engine sputtered away to produce 20 bhp at 3,500 rpm. The body of the F8 was largely made from plywood but this quickly rotting material was no longer used for the F9. IFA cars remained in production until they were replaced by the famous or perhaps infamous Trabant.
