Lot 304: 1983 Yamaha 200cc RS200
The RS200 was one of two generations of Japanese motorcycles which made those from other countries – including Britain – obsolete and established new standards for two-wheelers. A smooth and nippy twin two-stroke, its 80 mph performance and good handling bore little resemblance to the old British ‘197’ class. This example has been little-used in the past six years and has been well maintained, new chains, sprockets, tyres, and clutch being fitted during the present ownership. With a full MOT and a set of new ignition spares supplied, this RS200 will make an excellent riding lightweight.
