Lot 366: c.1913 BSA Sidecar & Chassis
Many of the larger motorcycle manufacturers offered sidecars of their own brand, either built in-house or sourced from an outside specialist. BSA offered own-make sidecars from its earliest, pre-WWI days and this example is believed to date from circa 1913. (A very similar BSA ‘chair’ dating from 1914 is depicted on page 14 of Geoff Brazendale’s book, The Sidecar – A History). Complete with chassis, it is offered for restoration.
