Lot 478: 1968 Suzuki 196cc T200 Invader
Suzuki followed up its sensational T20 Super Six with a 200cc version - the T200 Invader. Introduced in 1967, the T200 was styled like its 250cc brother but subtly scaled down as well as having ‘only’ five gears and a smaller engine. The latter produced 23bhp, six horsepower down on the T20’s, but this was nevertheless sufficient to propel the ‘junior’ twin past 80mph. The previous owner acquired this example in 1987 and subsequently extensively refurbished it with new mudguards, fuel tank, exhausts and rebuilt engine. The machine displays a total of 17,963 miles on the odometer and is described by the vendor as in good running order. It is offered with Suzuki T10 parts book, current road fund licence, MoT to August 2006 and old/new Swansea V5 documents.
