Lot 199: 1968 Moto Morini 48cc Corsarino

The 'British Bikes' Dispersal Sale, Bonhams (21 October 2006)

One of the smallest machines in Moto Morini’s range at the time of its introduction in the late 1960s, the overhead-valve-engined Corsarino (little racer) was intended to give youngsters an introduction to ‘real’ motorcycling. Eye-catchingly styled in the trail-bike idiom, this basically equipped machine has no lights or speedometer, yet could be ridden on the road once a bicycle-type computer ‘speedo’ has been fitted and a ‘daylight’ MoT acquired. Alternatively, it represents an opportunity to acquire a highly individual mode of ‘paddock transport’. Described as restored, it comes with copy Italian registration document.
