Lot 399: Ford Model T Touring
Henry Ford's Model T was not only the famous as the earliest example of the production line process, but for years was the basis of U.S. car collecting. This 1915 Model T Touring has 3-door bodywork and a fully operational top. Varying from Henry's basic black, it has a pleasing two-tone treatment of green body sides with black fenders and accents, enhanced by black spoke wheels. The interior is a lush red leather, done in a diamond pattern with black buttons. Produced before America's entry into World War I, a drive in this pioneer will create memories of a simpler America, just before we took our place on the world stage.
