Lot 255: Ferrari 412

Techno Classica, Coys (2 April 2011)

The Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 was introduced in 1976 as the successor to the rather large 365 GT 2+2. With much sleeker looks, also designed by Pininfarina, it remained, with very few styling changes, in production until 1989 and proved to be a great success for the company. The 412 was introduced in 1985 and was technically a much improved and modernized version of the classic design whilst retaining the timeless and most elegant shape. With a displacement of nearly 5 litres the V12 engine now produced again a healthy 340 hp and ABS was available for the first time in a Ferrari. This stunning example was delivered new to a German customer and remained in Germany with just two owners from new. Finished in the most attractive colour combination of black metallic with a contrasting grey leather interior, this most subtle of all recent Ferraris comes with air conditioning and benefits from new black leather on the dashboard. Furthermore we are informed by the vendor that it has been regularly serviced. A well cared for example, ready to be enjoyed by the new owner.
