Lot 148: Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2

Classic Car Sale, Charterhouse (22 April 2012)

The legendry 911 was first unveiled to the general public at the 1963 Frankfurt Motor Show and the first production cars delivered in 1964. The 911 production has evolved over the years with several cosmetic and mechanical changes, increased engine size and more luxurious trim finishes. This desirable Carrera 3.2 has been maintained to a high standard by the present and previous owners. Attractively finished in rare Iris blue metallic with a full blue leather interior, it further benefits from colour-coded sixteen inch Fuchs alloy wheels, electric windows, mirrors, sunroof, CD player, Porsche alarm and manual immobiliser. There is a full service history with recognised specialists including Porschemode, Bob Watson, Steve Ball and Peter Morgan and handbooks. The current vendor has recently replaced the sills and oil cooler pipes at a cost of approximately 3,500. Porsche's iconic 911 is enthusiastically coveted today as when it was launched in 1963, and this example having full service history would be a great addition to any collection. V5C, MOT to November 2012, tax to be advised
