Wheelbase: 2,032 mm (80") " Original example with mechanical overhaul " Full weather gear " From the final years of production Seeking a way to broaden the appeal of the Mini, British Motor Corporation pitched the idea of a Mini-based Jeep to the armed forces. Not surprisingly, the army was rather perplexed as to what one would actually do with a Jeep with two limited ground clearance, 10-inch wheels and front-wheel drive. Nevertheless, the cars were built for the public, and they're delightfully simple to own and operate. Available only from 1964 to 1968 in the UK, the Moke displayed remarkable staying power. It was built in Australia from 1966 to 1981 and Portugal from 1980 to 1994. In 1990, Rover Group sold the rights to the Moke to the motorcycle manufacturer Cagiva. Without the licence to use Mini, these cars from the last four years of production are simply called Moke. Sold new to the south of France, this 1993 Moke was ordered all in white and is one of the last cars built in 1993. It remains totally original and was recently treated to a mechanical overhaul. Nicely equipped, the Moke comes with a removable roll bar and full weather gear.
