Lot 105: Range Rover Classic

Classic & Vintage Cars & Motorcycles, Brightwells Auctioneers and Valuers (16 May 2012)

THIS IS A LATE ENTRY AND WILL NOT APPEAR IN THE PRINTED CATALOGUE This Russet Brown Range Rover Classic had just one Kent owner for the first 22 years of its life before being sold to a second owner who kept it for just a few months before selling it to the current vendor in 2004. It has covered some 103,000 miles with a full history from 1996 onwards and is said to be a very good and original example that drives well with an excellent cloth interior. Equipment includes a Webasto sunroof, handling kit, electric windows, load cover, alarm, manual gearbox and four new tyres. It has recently been fitted with a new top tailgate, new exhaust, new cylinder head gaskets and a new headlining. It was also professionally undersealed in 2007. It comes with the original sales receipt and handbooks, complete tool kit, BL repair manual, Heritage Certificate and two sets of keys. Documents show that this vehicle was originally left-hand drive and destined for Holland but under a tax-saving scheme it was never actually exported but was converted back to right-hand drive by the supplying dealer, Hunt Grange Motors, using original Range Rover parts. Currently taxed and with an MOT until October, it is ready for immediate use.
