Lot 185: Jaguar S-type 4.2 SE V8
The Jaguar S Type was first seen in 1999 sporting the 2.5 and 3.0 V6, plus the 4.0 V8 engine. The styling of the car acknowledged Jaguar history by reintroducing the distinctive Jaguar grille and loads of curves. This was one of the first new cars to be launched under Ford ownership and beneath that svelte Jaguar bodywork was a Lincoln LS, from which much of the electronics were also used. The car was developed through its 9 year production run with detailed design changes, increased power and the introduction of the later, 4.2 litre, V8 engine and 6 speed automatic transmission. The model ceased production in 2008, to be replaced by the XF.
Offered here is a 2005 example of the 4.2SE, which has covered just 47,000 warranted miles in the hands of one private owner. The car was originally supplied by Rossleigh Jaguar but was first registered to the Jaguar Promotion fleet as a dealer demonstrator. The service booklet is fully stamped up to 42992 miles and the car had full Main Dealer service history.
Finished in beautiful Sapphire blue metallic with cream leather interior, the car is equipped with both in-dash and stacking CD systems, power front seats, electrically adjustable steering column (reach and height), heated front and rear screens, cruise control, park assist, multi function steering wheel and 18 inch, multi-spoke, alloy road wheels.
This S Type is in outstanding condition throughout and is offered complete with an MoT and tax to June 2012, complete book pack, two keys and the full service history to support the very low mileage. Averaging just 6, 500 miles a year and costing over 37,000 when new, this S Type offers outstanding value.
