Lot 208: Daimler Double Six
Despite the new XJ6 coming into production in 1986, it would another 7 years before Jaguar could insert the glorious V12 engine under the bonnet. This then became the flagship of the Jaguar/Daimler range with the later 6.0 version of the V12. While the six cylinder car was still an extraordinarily quiet and comfortable saloon car, the V12 was a whole step up. When this was allied to the huge levels of power and performance, the XJ12.Daimler Double Six were in a league of their own.
This example is a Daimler Double Six derivative, which is blessed with an extraordinary history file. With a18 stamps in the service booklet and bills showing over 4000 worth of work in the past 24 months, a new owner is assured that this Daimler has been well cared for.
Finished in Flamenco Red with magnolia leather, the car has all the usual options associated with the model. The air conditioning is icy cold and all fitted options are said to work.
