Lot 073: Jaguar XJS 5.3 Convertible

Classics, Anglia Car Auctions (3 June 2012)

Purchased new by the vendor, a former local Mayor, as a gift to his lady wife. The couple visited the Browns Lane factory in early 1989 to choose the final specification of Ascot Grey exterior, black leather and soft top and dark walnut inlays. Since delivery on the first of March 1989, the car has covered a mere 21980 miles with supporting service history, the last carried out by a marque specialist, at a cost approaching 1000, just this month. This Jaguar retains all it's original paperwork, spare keys, tools, handbooks and touch-up pencil. Even the Jaguar instruction tape is present. This must be one of the best unrestored examples on the market.
