Lot 165: Honda CB250N Super Dream

Important Collectors' Motorcars & Motorcycles, Bonhams (16 June 2012)

The CB250N Super Dream was the latest in a long line of quarter-litre sports twins from Honda when it arrived in the late 1970s. A worldwide sales success, the CB250N featured Honda's 'Euro' styling and Comstar wheels, while the 6-valve, twin-cylinder motor delivered its 27bhp maximum output via a six-speed gearbox. This original and un-restored CB250N was first owned by one Larry George Hearn, enjoying three further owners before coming into the vendor's possession in March 2004. 'OWV 672X' has covered only 13,858 miles from new, as verified by expired MoT certificates on file. Currently MoT'd and described by the private vendor as in generally good condition, though in need of gentle re-commissioning - carburettor clean, points adjustment, etc - the machine is offered with a substantial history file containing the aforementioned MoT certificates, assorted old tax discs, an original Honda catalogue, sundry receipts, DVLA history, road tests/technical articles, manufacturer's handbook and Swansea V5 document.
