Lot 32: Mini Cooper 1.3i

Classics Cars, Charterhouse (15 July 2012)

British racing green with a white roof and racing stripes, with black half leather interior. The iconic Alec Issigonis designed Mini was launched in 1959 and revolutionised small car design. Available under both Austin (Seven) and Morris (Mini Minor) designations, the Mini featured a transversely mounted BMC A series engine of 848 cc, sitting on top of the gearbox/differential unit, and driving the front wheels. Underneath the box like body the suspension was by rubber cones and the distinctive wheel at each corner design afforded excellent road holding. This three owner Mini Cooper was purchased from a previous Charterhouse auction and has had little use in the last three years. V5C, MOT to June 2013, no current tax
