The TR family of sports cars was launched in 1953 with the TR2, powered by the Standard Vanguard engine tuned to 90 bhp, followed by the TR3 and TR3A. In 1961 Triumph unveiled the new TR4 with its sharp Italian style body, designed by Michelotti, which was further improved with the introduction of the independent rear suspensioned A version. The vendor informs us that the car is accompanied by a history file detailing the work done with a photographic record. This work includes a complete restoration in 2010, electronic ignition, electric fan, rebuilt starter motor, rebuilt alternator, new radiator, stainless steel exhaust and J type overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears.
