Lot 203: BSA Sloper S32-8 500cc

Classic & Vintage Cars & Motorcycles, Brightwells Auctioneers and Valuers (18 July 2012)

BSA produced their famous range of 'Slopers' from 1927 consisting of OHV and side-valve models in both 350cc and 500cc capacities, the OHV models being the sporting top of the range mounts, while the side-valve models were more suited to sidecar work. Year on year the Sloper models were improved upon in an effort to increase speed and braking, featuring towards the end of their run linked front and back brakes, 4-speed gearboxes and tank-top instrumentation. This particular model is the S32-8, the S standing for sloping engine, the 32 being the year and 8 being the model number. It has been in regular use up until the last 6 months and is in good running order. The pictures were taken after a short run where everything was working fine and the bike was still ticking over slowly as is this marque's style. WAS 515 comes with current V5C, photocopies of old V5s and expired MOTs.
