Lot 1006: Yamaha Chappy

Cambridge Vintage Sale, Cheffins (28 July 2012)

This stylish little machine was formerly owned by local hero Brian (Tucker) Townsend who was renowned for his Snetterton racing days. It is understood that the Chappy was once used by the McLaren F1 team as a pit bike, whilst no real evidence of this has yet been unearthed the very modern and professional looking carbon fibre centre panel may be a clue to be followed up by an eager F1 sleuth. The Chappy has just 210 miles recorded and is in commensurately very tidy order, supplied with a current V5C document.
