Lot 1012: BMW R90/6

Cambridge Vintage Sale, Cheffins (28 July 2012)

his very original R90 has been in the same ownership since 1975 and, according to the original purchase invoice, it was supplied by W H Balderston of Millfield, Peterborough who are still in existence. It is related that the bike was used for European touring holidays and was a much loved and reliable machine, Since the owners death in 2005 the ownership has passed to his wife and the bike was brought indoors where it has remained ever since completely unused but in fine and clean order. Now requiring recommisioning the R90 is supplied with a few spares, V5C documentation and a number of MOTs going back to 1993, the last MOT expired in March 2006. With just 32,729 genuine miles and fitted with period Craven panniers this is a very original example and not to be missed.
