Lot 152: Ferrari 328 GTS

Carfest North Pride & Joy Auction, Silverstone Auctions (4 August 2013)

The Ferrari 328 first appeared in 1985 as the successor to the 308, featuring a normally aspirated 3.2V8 engine and very handsome styling. Instantly popular, Ferrari went on to produce 7,400 variants worldwide during the production run which finished late in 1989. Now regarded as a true design classic, this ultimate 270 bhp sportscar of the day reached 0 - 60 in 5.5 seconds and went on to a top speed of 166mph. We have the pleasure of offering, what must surely be one of the finest examples available of this gracefully ageing classic in GTS (Targa top) format. The vendor, who has owned the car for many years, has just had the car sent to Ferrari specialists JCT600 in Leeds for a service. A full condition report will be made available by JCT600 for any interested bidders.Presented in Rosso Red bodywork with cream interior, this 328 has covered only 26,000 miles from new and would make an ideal investment, as prices continue to rise for Ferraris from this iconic era.
