Lot 171: GM Hummer H3
The Hummer H3, from General Motors' Hummer division, was introduced in 2005 and was based on the GMT355 underpinning the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon compact pickup trucks. Produced at GM's Shreveport, Louisiana factory and the Port Elizabeth plant in South Africa, the H3 was the smallest of the Hummer models and the first to be built by GM. It was available either as a traditional midsize SUV or as a midsize pickup known as the H3T. The H3 came with a 3.5L straight-5 cylinder L52 engine, and was mated to a standard 5-speed manual transmission or an optional Hydra-Matic 4L60-E 4-speed automatic transmission. The H3 and H3T were discontinued after the 2010 model year, as GM wound down the entire Hummer brand. Offered here is a 2006 example of the H3, which is said to be complete with full service history and is equipped with the following options: expensive 22" alloy road wheels, leather electric and heated seats, remote control alarm/immobiliser, electric windows and mirrors, cruise control, air con, privacy glass, side steps, roof rails and multi CD system. The car is equipped with the optional automatic transmission. Described as being in superb condition the vehicle has had no expense spared in its maintenance, specification and extra chrome work.
