Brown Whitney

Brown Brothers were famous motor factors, selling a great variety of accessories and components of all kinds for cars, motorcycles and bicycles. Founded in 1888 it became a limited company in 1897 and two years later they offered motor tricycles and a light steam car. This was the American Whitney which they sold under the name Brown-Whitney. In 1901 they began to offer cars under the Brown name, though the origin of these is uncertain, as were most subsequent Browns.
