Nordec manufactured the Ballamy (L.M.B.) split-axle ifs and Marshall-Nordec (Rootes-type) superchargers. Nordec attempted to market a sports car in 1949 which used a supercharged Ford 10 engine in a modified Ford 8 chassis with L.M.B. ifs. The body was a smaller version of the Allard, but the prototype was dumpy and unprepossessing . A sleeker production model was promised, but the damage was done. The arrival of Dellow, offering superior cars for the same market niche, destroyed any prospects that Nordec may have had.
