Nash Airflyte Ambassador

Produced: 1949-1955 (Unknown)
Nash Airflyte Ambassador
The first new models with bodies by Pininfarina followed in 1949.  These streamlined models were termed the "Airflyte series".  Both the front and rear wheels were partially hidden inside the wings and the cars had one piece windscreens.  They also featured front seats that could be collapsed backwards to form a double bed.  The cars sold like hot cakes and Nash beat all its own records that year with at least 142,592 cars sold.  This increased further in 1950 to 191,865 but this was unfortunately the last year of reasonable fortune for the company.
