Nash Rambler Custom Landau Convertible (1951)
It was in 1950 that Nash introduced a car that was later to be termed "compact".  The Nash Rambler was "only" 176 in (4,480 mm) long, making it 24 3/4 in (630 mm) shorter than the Statesman, which had been Nash's smallest car until then.
