When Opel introduced the Manta, Vauxhall followed with the Firenza. This had a slightly different front end and a real spoiler at the rear. This gave it the name of "Droopsnout". The Droopsnout was developed for motor-sport with a 2,279 cc engine that produced 132 bhp.
